Author's Bio...

William Makepeace Thackeray, a British novelist, author, and illustrator once said, “whatever you are … be a good one.” Using this philosophy I have developed a lifelong passion for, and a commitment to, service excellence, innovation and change. During my career I have strived to always deliver superior aviation instruction both during worldwide peacetime and combat operations. I have commanded small, medium and large organizations, and led an over 3,500-person military installation, executing billion-dollar budgets as well as preserving irreplaceable national resources.
The role of great leaders is to constantly seek ways to develop vital human, resource, and intellectual capital. 30 years in the military, serving across various supervisory and command positions has offered multiple and unparalleled opportunities to successfully lead, coach, and mentor literally thousands of military and civilian personnel. And numerous global assignments, working with myriad leaders at the highest levels of United States and international government, has afforded me unique perspective and an ability to identify innovative and lasting solutions through skilled empathy, compromise and mutual respect.
